Various activities organized by IQAC are listed below:
Ø  
     Curriculum Development:

All departments revised curriculum to be implemented from academic year 2020-21, with special focus on cross-cutting issues and skill-development.

 • Course outcomes are spelt out and mapped with programme outcomes and programme specific outcomes.

 • One unit of every course of all programmes was offered online to encourage self-learning.


Ø  Teaching-Learning and Evaluation:
Faculty Development Programmes
The IQAC as the key body for the realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance, organized various FDPs with the financial assistance of $5000 from United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, an American organization that is committed to whole person education. Ten training programmes have been held this year to equip faculty with ICT-enabled teaching skills and to strengthen communication skills in English.

1. 3rd & 4th June, 2019: FDP on ‘Beyond Teaching - The Joy & Passion of Being a Faculty’ for         faculty having below 5 years of experience.
 Resource Person: Mr. Stephen Chinnaswamy, CEO, Strides Consulting Inc., Chennai. He explained about Managing Self, others and the teaching task, The   WHY of being a Faculty, Developing Self Esteem in self and nurturing it in students and Stepping into the world of today’s students. 49 faculty members got benefitted.


2. 5th & 6th June, 2019: FDP on ‘Teacher as a Facilitator of Learning & Leadership and Ideal Team Players’ for the entire faculty.
          Resource Persons: 1. Dr. Mercy Pushpalatha, Programme Consultant –South Asia, United Board. She explained about Outcome based Education, Learning Outcomes, Session Plans and Modes       of Assessment. Mrs. Jaya Abraham, Motivational Speaker and Partner with AJ Ventures, Mumbai. She spoke on ‘Vision and Mission of an Individual Leadership and Ideal Team Players.’ 112 faculty members got benefitted.





      3. 29th & 30th July, 2019: FDP on ‘Capacity Building cum Faculty Development’ for 50 faculty members.
       Resource Person: Dr. Sandhya Tiwari, Director, Centre of English Language Teaching (CELT) & IQAC, Palamaru University, Mahabubnagar, Telangana. 50 faculty members got benefitted.





4. 4th October, 2019:Principles and Practices in Teaching/Learning Resource Person: Prof.L.S.Ganesh, Professor, Department of Management  Studies,  IIT Madras. 75 faculty members got benefitted.




 5. 8th & 9th November, 2019: FDP on ‘Developing MOODLE-Enabled Blended Learning Courses.’
 Resource Person: Dr. Indira Koneru, Associate Professor at ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad. 35 faculty members got benefitted.




   6. 7th – 9th January, 2020 : Workshop for Faculty on ‘Mentoring – The Core of Maris Stella.’ 93 faculty members got benefitted.
          Resource Person: Mrs. Jaya Abraham, Motivational Speaker & Partner with AJ Ventures, Mumbai.





7. 9th & 10th March, 2020: Debriefing Workshop on Transformational Development.’ 30 faculty members got benefitted.       
         Resource Persons: Mr. Stephen Chinnaswamy, CEO, Strides Consulting Inc., Chennai & Mrs. Jaya Abraham, Motivational Speaker & Partner with AJ Ventures, Mumbai.




National seminar and Workshop Organized
 1.     21st – 23rd October, 2019: National Workshop for Faculty on ‘Constructive Alignment and Outcome-Based Education.’ 54 faculty members got benefitted.
         
Resource Persons: 1. Dr. Suparna Majumdar Kar, Associate Professor, Department of                                            Sociology & Social Work, CHRIST University, Bengaluru.
                              2. Dr.  Sweta Mukherjee, Associate Professor, Department of English,                                     CHRIST University, Bengaluru. 
                               3. Dr.Vinay, Asst. Professor, Department of Computer Science, CHRIST                                University, Bengaluru.

2nd & 3rd December, 2019: National Workshop for Faculty on ‘Designing Effective      Assessment Practices and Digital Technology.’ 52 faculty members got benefitted.
Resource Persons: 1. Dr. Suparna Majumdar Kar, Associate Professor, Department of Sociology &                           Social Work 
                               2. Dr. Sweta Mukherjee, Associate Professor, Department of English, CHRIST                              University, Bengaluru.



3. 28th and 29th Feb. 2020: A Two-Day Conference on ‘Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): Issues and Challenges’ organized by the Department of Economics and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). 70 faculty and PG students got benefitted.




Other Quality Initiatives
·         Conducted Internal Audit & Administrative Audit on 28th, 29th and 30th January, 2020.
·      Submitted Annual Self-Appraisal Report (ASAR) for the college teachers to Commissionerate of Collegiate Education (CCE) .
·         Participated in NIRF ranking.
·         Participated in India Today ranking.
